Profilo Shopping Mall in the Istanbul district of Mecidiyeköy is set to open an organic market dedicated to the sale of organic farm produce that will trade Sundays and Wednesdays, mall management announced in a press conference.
Profilo’s organic market is an acclimatized and hygienically pristine environment where farmers will offer totally certificated product groups cultivated from local seeds, the press release said. The wide product rage includes fresh fruit and vegetables, dried fruit and different types of pulse, as well as dairy products, meat and poultry.
The market will also sell cleaning products, cosmetics, textile products and toys.
For shoppers who want to take a break and relax, the market will also feature a cafeteria that serves organic tea, fruit juices, ayran (a kind of salted drinking yoghurt), cold sandwiches, pastries and Turkish wantons.
Profilo is organizing a special celebration to mark the opening of the organic market that is scheduled to include live music performances from a number of different artists. The opening will take place at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Profilo’s organic market will also organize workshops and seminars for both children and adults about organic eating, as well as workshops for children where they will play games that will raise their awareness about the importance of organic food and related health concerns. The workshops will feature toys produced from organic material.
Profilo shopping mall has a baby-care room for mothers and its 1300-vehicle capacity indoor parking lot is free of charge.
