Ceylan InterContinental Istanbul has been chosen over 700 hotels as the winner of two awards for quality and performance last year.
The annual awards doled out by the world’s largest chain of hotels, the InterContinental Hotels Group, rate the performances of the hotels within the group. The awards were granted Dec. 1 at the Cairo InterContinental.
Ceylan InterContinental Istanbul, which has been one of the most important components of Istanbul’s skyline and has provided the most selective services to guests since the day it was established, has achieved significant success under the leadership of General Manager Fatih Şenuslu and for this the hotel was granted the Quality Excellence Award.
Şenuslu personally has been honored with the group’s most prestigious award, the Presidency Special Award, by the hotel chain’s Europe, Middle East and Africa group president, Kirk Kinsell, as a result of his superior performance in financial success, quality and customer satisfaction ratings among the evaluations of 700 hotels in the InterContinental Hotels Group.
Şenuslu took over the hotel as general manager in 2006 and it was granted the Hotel of the Year award for three years running. Also, the hotel was included in the top 10 hotels lists of the two most prestigious tourism sector magazines; Travel&Leisure and Conde Nast Travel in 2008 and 2009. The lists are determined by votes from readers of the magazines.
