Burçe Bekrek, a designer who has received Fashion TV Turkiye’s Best Young Designer award, launched her own brand under her name and opened a studio last week in Nişantaşı.
Bekrek’s first collection is titled “Intro/Versa.”
The designer said she takes inspiration from the city and from the books she reads during her creation process.
“But more than anything, I feed my creativity with the feelings of other people,” Bekrek said.
She intends for her brand to be fast, fashionable and wearable. She is also interested in using different or unconventional materials.
Bekrek follows her mood and her feelings, and says everyone has their own way to express themselves.
“My profession is a tool to express myself to the world.”
